İhsan Emre EROL

Dr. Öğr. Üyesi İ. Emre Erol
He was born in Bandırma in 1988. He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at
Anadolu University in 2015. After graduation he began working in the private sector. He
founded the software company Codework Corp. and carried out software development
activities across various platforms mainly focused web and mobile. In the following
period he established Gamework Corp. and led the team he formed in the development
of more than 40 games. He provided consultancy to companies in the defense industry
in the fields of digital electronics and software within development projects. He
completed his Master’s degree in the Department of Public Relations at Istanbul Aydın
University, focusing on an educational platform he developed using Virtual Reality
technology. During the same period, he also took part as a developer in a virtual reality
project within the scope of the Istanbul Aydın University New Media Application and
Research Center. In this period, he developed and published a total of three different
virtual reality projects. He completed his doctoral thesis at Istanbul Aydın University
using an agent-based simulation method with a game engine. Three of his papers were
accepted at national and international conferences and published in the respective
conference proceedings. He is the author of the book “iOS Application Development
with Swift: For Beginners.” Our faculty member continues academic and private sector
work in multidisciplinary fields such as Digital Game Development, Digitalization of
Communication and Educational Technologies.
