Introduction – Art, Design, and Emotion: Toward a Rereading of the
Sensible in the Age of Social Innovation
At a time when social innovation is becoming a central value in public
policies and collective dynamics, art and design emerge as powerful
catalysts for transformation. They generate new forms of engagement,
emotion, experience, and empathy, supported by interdisciplinary
approaches, immersive practices, and innovative technologies. The sensible
becomes at once medium, vector, and critical issue. This contemporary
rereading of the sensible relies on a hybridization of disciplines, a
reevaluation of materials, increased user involvement, and a heightened
awareness of social and environmental challenges
